SMS Consent & Opt-In
Last updated: February 23, 2026
1. Overview
This page documents how RepairVue, LLC collects customer consent for SMS messaging, what disclosures are provided at the point of opt-in, and what types of messages customers receive. This documentation is provided for compliance purposes, including A2P 10DLC campaign registration with Twilio and TCR.
RepairVue is an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). Messages are sent by individual auto repair businesses that use the RepairVue platform — not by RepairVue directly. RepairVue provides and operates the messaging infrastructure on their behalf.
2. How RepairVue Messaging Works
RepairVue enables repair shops to send transactional SMS messages to their customers throughout the vehicle service lifecycle. This is a direct technician-to-customer communication channel — not bulk marketing.
Each message identifies both the platform and the specific shop — for example: "RepairVue: ABC Auto Repair – Your vehicle is ready for pickup."
3. How Customers Provide Consent
When a customer brings their vehicle to a participating repair shop, they complete a Service Intake Form (paper or digital). The form collects their mobile phone number and includes the SMS disclosure below. The customer must acknowledge this disclosure before any messages are sent.
SMS Disclosure Language — as shown on intake form
"By providing your mobile phone number, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from [Shop Name] via RepairVue regarding your vehicle service, including appointment confirmations, repair status updates, technician communications, service completion notifications, and pickup reminders. Message frequency varies based on service activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time or HELP for assistance. We do not share your mobile information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is not a condition of service. See our Terms and Privacy Policy."
Only customers who complete and sign the intake form — confirming the SMS disclosure — are added to the messaging system. Consent is collected at the point of service, not retroactively.
4. Sample Intake Form
The following is a representative sample of the intake form completed at participating repair shops. The SMS consent section is highlighted to show where disclosure occurs.

5. What Messages Customers Receive
All messages are transactional and directly related to the customer's active vehicle service. They are initiated by the repair shop's technicians — not automated marketing blasts. Messages include a tracking link so customers can view job details, invoices, and updates in real time. No promotional or marketing content is ever sent.
